The more and more hex supporters talk, the more and more they show that they have no understanding of game design. If you can't understand how Risk is a Lattice-based board game, there's really no hope for you.

lattice only has single connections? Oh wait thats not true. If that were hex, you could attack Australia from Great Britain

And, as we all know, Great Britain sending people to Australia is just plain silly.

The only sin of the Hex system was that it didn't force a specific number of people to (be able to) stay on those points, or at least in the vicinity where those points were situated. There typically weren't enough or well-placed capture points in most bases (due to size) either, but that fault belongs to another.

That there are facilities with more than one "in" and/or "out" connection doesn't invalidate the joke.
