Right now I have ping about 22-35k. That's incredibly. Thanks SOE.

Please like post #35 in this very thread, or the OP. If you can't even be arsed clicking a thumb, which by CSR acknowledgement is a good way to get your problem noticed, you're just an unbelievably lazy P. o_O

played entire day on my woodman NC character, pings were normal for me (100-135).

today's and yesterday's evenings on ceres (which i play in with my TR/VS characters) however, 180ms, jumping to 300~ and sometimes all the way to 1k+.

it is totally unplayable. role abilities (ex. overshield) have a 1-2 second delay. i get shot from unknown sources, and die. everyone's teleporting around. weapons act weirdly.

it seems to be lagging again today.
yesterday it was laggy, but I became normal at around 1 GMT, and today it seems to be lagging again.

It's now almost a week since this **** is happening randomly or continuously. And once again, mostly to guys from the EU.

STILL NO CLEAR AND VISIBLE ANSWER OR STATEMENT FROM SOE. Is it that difficult to tell us that you're aware of it ?

Players can be patient even with performance problems. But when you #¤%@ with a FPS' player's ping... Oh man...

I've been getting around 45 ping since the Day 1. Lately it's grown to 60-90. And now the spikes.

    Country : Luxembourg
    Server : COBALT EU
    Account : SOE (beta account)

It's a sad state of affairs when Twitter gets acknowledged and their own boards do not.

I'd rather these forums be closed, then.

At least someone got their attention. I hope they'll fix it before saturday.

Having constantly ~700ms and it's worse when joining a big fight.

    Server: Woodman
    Provider: Telekom
    Location : Germany
  14. JaL

You said "anyone connecting through equinox will experience this", which i was, on both connections, yet only one experienced the problem. That's a direct contradiction to your statement.

It was not "due to timing" :)
  15. JaL

I wonder why it took so long to "notice" it. It's been going on for 4-5 days now, multiple threads on forums.

    What IP is that btw?

    Ping on miller:

Anyone have the IP for miller btw? Planetside seems to connect to a lot of different ips, mostly in the 69.174.194.0/24 subnet

But my results to .168 show that it's not a networking issue, and it's certainly not my connection

Been complaining (with everyone else) for about 2 weeks about high latency... still not a single acknowledgement from SOE about it (only other EU server issues like the login servers and crashing)
  17. nallar

Here are the relevant parts of the data you provided:

    10 28 ms 28 ms 28 ms 5.175.82.90
    11 130 ms 130 ms 130 ms amspsn-liv-gw04.planetside2.com [69.174.194.168]

    18 14 ms 14 ms 15 ms 5.175.82.90
    19 69 ms 69 ms 69 ms amspsn-liv-gw04.planetside2.com [69.174.194.168]

In the first case, a 100ms increase after 5.175.82.90, in the second only a 55ms increase. All this proves is that the latency added after 5.175.82.90 varies. Your data is two different connections through 5.175.82.90, both of which exhibit a latency increase after 5.175.82.90. In order to prove that it is not 5.175.82.90's fault, you would need another tracert not through 5.175.82.90.

My connection which is not via 5.175.82.90 has a steady 100ms latency at all times of the day, no packet loss. There is no huge increase in latency before the last node.

The connection through 5.175.82.90 experiences ~2% packet loss (5% yesterday), with latency varying between 30ms and 100ms averages depending on the time of day. On the same connection, the ping to the node po7.bg1.am3.eu.equinix.net (which is the one before 5.175.82.90) is steady at 30ms at all times, indicating an intermittent issue with either 5.175.82.90 or Miller itself. Given that the connection which is through level3 and not equinix is steady, it must be an issue with 5.175.82.90.
  18. nallar

    69.174.194.168 is miller.

Could you post a tracert to it?
