Do NC have the best LMG options?

    NC have the best everything.

quickly, nerf them before they find out they dont have to disarm proximity mines with their bodies.

my favorite thing about the SAW is the 0 initial CoF. It and the reaper DMR are the only guns (excluding sniper rifles) that have that, and it makes it really easy to kill enemy infantry at longer ranges than any other LMG.

Overall I like the TMG-50 better though; not that many infantry fights take place at extreme enough ranges that the SAW has a big advantage, and the higher RoF on the TMG seems to help a lot.

no, only Tr got best Lmgs.

    Nc underperform in every category.

no bias. word! i am fair balancer! I think Nc should have 1:1 copies of Tr high Rof lmgs! word. 111!!!one and and.. tr should give us prowler and mosqito. they become vanguard and reaver back. fair is fair.. you know this nc things are op, then you can have it...

tr become lately mass hysterical. tr kids and their fair view on balance for other 2 factions.

they cant await to have it easier and easier.. tr - faction of casual kids, crying for next candy.

why dont rename game in TRside2 ?

where is tr pride and where is fairness?

all i see, tr is spiting in soup of others at rate of their high rof weapons

    Responding to OP:
Most guns get access to the same basic attachments: foregrip, laser sight, suppressor and flash suppressor. Access to advanced attachments (adv foregrip, adv laser, compensator, HVA, and SPA) depends on what the weapon is supposed to specialize in. CQC-weapons, like the CQC ARs for the combat medic, get access to SPA and adv laser to make them more specialized in their role, and they don't get access to the compensator or adv foregrip. Stock guns can't access advanced attachments, unless they are already specialized (like the SAW and the Orion).

This is to encourage variety in weapon selection. Why use another gun if you could mod your favorite gun to do anything you wanted it to? Of course, the downside to this is that most weapons aren't available from the start and are very hard to earn without using cash.

The grass is always greener Ruar. I am amazed at what i can do with a 750 rpm lmg when i play my alts.

NC has the best long range LMG option.

NC doesn't have any good short range LMG option.

Would be nice if you could capture control points from 50m away, but alas short range is just more useful for completing objectives in this game.

Except none of this is true across factions. No VS LMG gets an advanced foregrip, not even the two long range ones. One of the long range weapons (Flare) has soft-point ammo for some reason, while the Orion, the most specialized close-range LMG in the game, has neither soft-point nor advanced laser. Another of the short-range specialists (SVA-88) has HVA and Compensator, for some reason, but not SPA or adv. laser, and its slightly less specialized twin (Pulsar LSW) has no ammo option, no adv. rail options, and no compensator.

Which is the difference, really. NC attachment options make sense and follow logical patterns. For the VS, it's just kinda random.

Lol, you played NC and suddenly see why they are so much better then the TR?

Yeah, me to. I rolled the TR HA for 24 BRs, had the TMG50, T16 and CARV all tricked out(deleted my TR). I noticed the TR guns just plain dont fire fast enough, are not accurate, bloom to quickly, have to much recoil and all in all just plain suck. I got tired of coming around corners, catching guys afk and needing to unload no less then like 15 rounds to kill a guy. Then, if it ever came to sniping, the TR's x3 first shot recoil mult, horrid bloom and pitiful damage would ensure I didnt kill alot. I did get Auraxiam on my T9, but it was a painful grind. x3 prevents burst fire...

Meanwhile, I went over to the NC, grabbed a NC6 and at first, didnt like it. However, I stuck with it and slapped a x2 on it. It suddenly became a lot better. Later, a Comp, it really became alot more manageable. Now, an Adv. Handgrip....it really is like some people call it. A Fully Auto Sniper Rifle.

NC LMGs in general, they have next to no left and right recoil(especially with upgrades). They do amazing damage, no more of that unloading 50 rounds into a guy only to lose to him. NC burst like 10 rounds, down you go. NC LMG hip fire is amazingly better then the TR. Stock NC hipfire is like the T9 with a laser, but better. NC guns do get far better attachments. The T9 gets a x1 as its CQC optic, every single NC gun gets x2, except for maybe the EM1, idk. But they all get the upgrades that remove their one weakness(upward recoil).

The TR guns need less left and right recoil, they were atleast decent before the GU01. Then GU01 came out and wow, could I ever tell the difference. If they got 25% more recoil they need like maybe 12-15%, not 25....

The TR lmgs that with less then 700RpM, need atleast 700RpM...

TR have RoF on their side, or so they say....every faction has an 800RpM gun.....except for TR..

wow if you lose to a SAW in CQC you are bad. every class gun in default except snipers should beat a SAW in CQC.

LOL, I have been more on the look out for those when I enter buildings. Only thing, they are kinda hard to spot right away. I hve found a few though lol.

Lol, 200dmg vs 143dmg....the 200 is going to win, even in CQC. The NC6 ROCKS.
  13. biterwylie

200 damage does not kill you. If the 143 gun defeats the total player hit points faster then it wins on TTK.
  14. biterwylie

I trust we all remember that adv foregrip is totally irrelevant ;) the developers can make a broomstick that has lower recoil than an LMG with 10 adv forgrips! It is just numbers in a program.

A standard Orion can have lower recoil than another fully certed gun as an example.

NC have the best variety for medium & long range. They had many more options of weapons with slower damage degradation and harder hitting power past their max range limit.

    NC:
    four LMGs that do 167 @ 10m - 143 @ 75m
    one LMG that does 200 @ 10m - 167 @ 85m

    VS:
    two LMGs that do 167 @ 10m - 143 @ 75m

    TR:
    one LMG (TMG-50) that does 167 @ 10m - 143 @ 75m

I haven't really paid much attention to the VS weapons all that much (love the hell out of the LSW and VX6-7 though). Wow devs, get it together.

It's kind of hard to factor in damage slopes since the exact damage at specific points within the boundaries of those slopes, like 50m, varies.
Is it possible to use damage slopes to calculate how many bullets it takes to kill within certain ranges? Yes. But it's harder to do so, and this doesn't even take into account the other things, like rate of fire and accuracy.
People talk more about DPS/TTK/ROF/COF/etc. because it's much easier to do so. We've got hard numbers for those.
  17. TheBloodEagle

I'll link the graphic calculator below.

I fee like NC take for granted how great those 167 @ 10m - 143 @ 75m weapons are. It's the main reason I love my TMG-50. There's so much damage coming in from various ranges, various enemies, various weapons but people just quote me acting as if it's COD and we all shot each other at 10m but it's not true. From the 1000 kills I have with the TMG-50 there is definitely a big difference with engagements from something that does 143 @ 75 and 125 @ 65. You can say 1 bullet more or 1 bullet less but that extra damage in-between could be Kill Assist etc.

Anyway, I hope TR will get another 167 @ 10m - 143 @ 75m in the future but I highly doubt they ever will.

Here's the calculator/graph and some images I did previous (month ago). The last image is me pointing out to someone that VS weapons actually have a bit more damage under 65 meters with the same max starting damage.

The NC are good at something?!?! NERF THAT $HIT!!

Yes, excellent point you make - hadn't thought of that.

SAW does most damage but bloom from the hip and lower fire rate makes it less viable in CQC *in my experience*. You're not going to land every shot at 15-20m and you may even have to burst at that range from the hip. Just tried it in VR with laser (which I never carry on my SAW anyway).

Using my Carv that can reliably hit at 15-20m from the hip compared to the SAW, I'm significantly more effective in CQC hip spray and rarely have to burst with almost all bullets hitting target.

In the circumstances where I've flanked an enemy and can ADS, SAW is very effective - but then I would expect any of the LMG's to be at an advantage in the same situation.
