Some math and why NC Max will still instagib and should be nerfed more.

    Dat CQC 10m Domimance ... Need more Nerfs and TR/VS Buffs !!!
    Scattercannon 180/60*134*6 = 2412 dmg per second (3 rounds)
    With total ammo pool of 6 rounds and second weapon (12 rounds)
    12*134*6= 9648 dmg per mags (2 sec. to empty)

    Mattock 180/60*134*6 = 2412 dmg per second (3 rounds)
    With total ammo pool of 6 rounds and second weapon (12 rounds)
    12*134*6= 9648 dmg per mags (2 sec. to empty)
    Hacksaw 209/60*134*6 = 2800 dmg per second (~3,5 rounds)
    With total ammo pool of 6 rounds and second weapon (12 rounds)
    12*134*6= 9648 dmg per mags (1,8 sec. to empty)
    Grinder 180/60*134*6 = 2412 dmg per second (3 rounds)
    With total ammo pool of 8 rounds and second weapon (16 rounds)
    16*134*6= 12.864 dmg per mags (2,3 sec. to empty)

    Cosmos 337/60*167 = 938 dmg per second (~5,7 Rounds)
    With total ammo pool of 75 rounds and second weapon (150 rounds)
    150*167= 25050 dmg per mags (~13,2 sec. to empty)

    Mercy 426/60*143 = 1015 dmg per second ( ~7,1 Rounds)
    With total ammo pool of 50 rounds and second weapon (100 rounds)
    100*143= 14300 dmg per mags ( ~7 sec. to empty)

    Combining above mentioned:
    Dual Hacksaw Max will deal 9648 dmg in 1,8 sec and then reload for 4 sec. (5,8 sec refire)
    Upgraded Hacksaw max will deal 16080 dmg in ~3 sec. and then reload for 4 sec. (7 sec refire)
    Dual Cosmos Maxdeal ~ 10880 in 5,8 sec. or 3376 in 1,8 sec
    Upgraded Dual Cosmos Max deal ~ 5628 dmg in 3 sec. or 13131 dmg in 7 sec.
    Dual Mercy Max will deal ~ 11774 dmg in 5,8 sec. or 3654 in 1,8 sec.
    Upgraded Dual Mercy Max deal ~ 6090 dmg in 3 sec. and 14210 dmg in 7 sec.

    So NC max stays overpowered because:
    It Still will have Highest DPS
    It Still will have Highest Burst
    It Still will have Best Performance from Charge Ability
    It Can still charge into a room of ~ 15 PPl And Kill them all in 3 sec.
    While VS will kill 5 in that time and TR will kill 6 ... ( Perfect Stat Conditions)

    And it's only drawback is 10m max dmg rate ...
    at 15m NC Shotguns ( all of them ) are even with Mercy ( Best TR Max AI)
    at 20m NC Shotguns ( all of them ) are even with Cosmos ( Best VS Max AI)
    at 40m NC shotguns with Slugs are even with any other TR/VS Max Ai Weapons
    Ofcourse thats only math... And it can be far away from actual gameplay experience.
    But it shows that NC Shotguns will still be dominating CQC.
    And VS Cosmos is total WORST Weapon from all above mentioned...

    P.S. AND I'M not Talking about MAX AV Weapons ... VS No Bullet Drop Perk Made VS Max AV worst of 3. While TR have High DPS Grounders and NC Highest DMG Falcons VS Have no Bullet drop and LOWEST VELOCITY... but it's a bit more usefull at night than a Flashlight on a pistol...
    To Kill Lightning from rear with Dual AV Max Weapons:
    TR need 8 shots (1 reload)
    NC need 4 shots (1 reload)
    VS need 6 shots (2 reload)

    Please, learn to read -

    Note the word MINIMUM in there, it's important. At point blank you're still doing the big numbers, you just do less at range with the Hacksaw, is how I read it.

    Honestly these changes are great news to scat max users, not as bad as first feared for them, will still be the same story. Only thing different will be against TR max, but mostly in bio labs it will be the same story unless TR storm em with their Maxes.

    It's using shotguns, it'll ALWAYS "instagib". The nerf made it so it can't instagib a MAX though and it willl need more reloads (so less able to kill more people in quick succession).

    Consider this: The Scat-MAX will ALWAYS instagib infantry. This will NEVER change. If getting the Scat-Max to no longer gib infantry in CQC is what you're hoping to accomplish, you'll be at it 10 years later still.

    This Patch Should bring some Balance Between Maxes.
    But it will still require Secondary AV weapon for TR/VS to compete agains Dual Shotgun NC Max. What is fine, atleast i will have a chance to react now.

    Wait till they add flamethrowers, they'll probably be the best CQC option (until they get nerfed :p )

    pretty much, none of the nerfs did anything to help normal infantry against them, just made it so that they are free kills for other MAXes if they don't have charge available to run away.
    that's after 8m, not 40m. 40m is when slugs hit minimum damage.

    Yes, we should nerf robots with shot gun arms to the point where you can just run into them.

    Becuase... shot guns hurt a lot. I are sad when die...


    Protip: even more than they were before, they are now hugely vulnerable inbetween reload times and require engi support to remain effective.

    Highest no headshots theoretical dps.
    Charging ahead = dead max 90% of the time. All maxes have the same performance from it cause they all deal more dmg(due to accuracy issues) at close range.
    15ppl in 2 sec how? Spread the pellets from a shot to 2 ppl every second shot? Even the case of them not shooting you back and standing still you would kill max 5 cause of nobody really shooting exactly the amount of shots to kill but due to latency and good measure at least one extra(except hackers ofc :p). And again, you don´t considere the time you need to take for reaiming. No chance to survive that long. You might get to kill 2 but you would kill the same with any max in that situation.
    I think is like 8m max dmg rate anyway and a huge dmg degradation after compared to other max ai weapons(not sure about the 8m though). What i am sure and i suggest you look at the COF and COF bloom between the weapons you compare there to see why in game those numbers will be altered by a lot.

    No they do not need to be nerfed, the game should not be made so sterile an mirror imaged. Diversity is good, try an say that to yourself.

    I notice no discussion of CoF or CoF bloom, reload time, minimum damage, maximum damage, in your highly idealised examples.

    In fact, one could be guilty of thinking, that you've cherry picked your variables.

    do you guys ever stop ********? why should shotguns be equal to other factions medium range lmg style weapons? vanu not having bullet drop is OP, the striker does too much DPS XX stats prove it with 30% more vehicle kills then every other factions ESL OP, the magrider strafe is OP, the prowlers second barrel and anchor mode is OP, vanus shotguns not having any recoil is OP, the mossie is too fast too maneuverable and too small so its OP, the TR have too many weapons like the NC, the NC weapons do too much damage even though they have a slower fire rate, the TR max is too accurate, the vanu cosmos shoots too fast, the scythe can hover its OP, all dumbfire launchers shouldnt direct hit kill infantry OP....


    thats what you ******* sound like, all you do is ***** until that faction is nerfed into being broken. just shut the **** up and play the game...
