FPS stutter is cause by the new HUD changes

Hi,

We have learned the FPS stutter most of us are experiencing is due to the new UI changes where the game trys to decide if it should render a dorito for a allie or not.

You can test this by turning your hud off in game, turn hud off, look at allies, no stutter. Turn UI back on, stutter comes back.

Lets get a hotfix for this SOE.

So the temporary fix is to go old school Arma style sounds good to me!

By studdering, do you all mean the twitching of both enemies and friendlies both in first-person and on the mini-map (like everyone's lagging horribly), or are you experiencing FPS drops?

I get the twitching thing, but not the fps drop much.

(Disclaimer, my last play time was yesterday evening.)

This is interesting. last night, I hit an FPS stutter, and my HUD disapeared for a few seconds, although I had not hit any key to disable it. The stuttering stopped, then the HUD came back and so did the stuttering.

I was so focused, I'm not sure how long my HUD was off, but noticed it when I glanced to check my ammo count.

Well, i don't really need the UI after all, gotta try that.

That's great and all but I can't tell friendly infils from enemies when they're cloaked without a HUD. The menu also doesn't show when you die.

Does FPS increase if you turn your hud off? I would test but I'm at work right now.
