Well, after sounding like an idiot, I did go to Tark and check that out (well, okay, EQ2Furniture.com), and yep, there's a lot of things like the house pets, etc. that were previously just Veteran rewards. But I do like the idea of the paintings, the house plants (the Audrey II types), etc. that we got as "surprise gifts" so very long ago and randomly, being offered on the Loyalty Merchant now. :)

I'm curious about the reasoning behind only one per prestige home allowed per character. Is there an actual reason preventing characters from having multiple of the same house on the same toon that maybe conflicts with something else? I'm a scratch builder myself and the TT Island home is my absolute favorite. There aren't any other wide open FLAT houses especially with water that we could just build from scratch on with the North, East, South, West axis actually lined up perfectly. I'd LOVE to be able to own multiple on my character one day. If that is absolutely out of the question, then I would love to see other houses like the TT Island house. Just plain flat land with maybe a pool of water again. Just no obstacles in the way etc. Please!!! Thank you!!

Well, strictly speaking, it's one type of prestige home per character, but I get your drift. :) It's one of the reasons I have as many toons as I do in the Horde; if it's only one TT Island Home per toon, well, gotta make more toons... :D

Because I completely agree; that place is probably the best, bar none, for any scratch builder. /nod

I think it was explained that the same name could only be one per character. My response is; if I want a second one, its Prestige House B, or a number. That way I could have more than one.

I was hit by this when in year 2 or 3 I used Loyalty Tokens to buy a prestige, then got it for free at year 7. I tried to use the 7 year one, and it created major issues trying to get in one and not the other. I had to delete one.

I don't think I bought it other accounts, so I when they get to year 7, I should be okay.

Things are not set up in code in a way that would properly allow this, and our coders are beyond swamped into at least next year.

I will say this till my dying day....The Shard of Love Erollisi Day version with the pretty flowers before everything is covered up. I know it's not flat land BUT you could use the existing structures and build up around them and if they used the inside of the temple, (I know the version I want, the doors are shut...didn't say I was practical!) would give a whole mess of opportunities. Would be great for builders who like to make their own stuff.

Also, It would REALLY be lovely if we could get the item count increased for the larger prestige homes....Currently working on a huge project in the CoM home, and I will not be able to do it justice with 1200/1200. Maybe for the giant homes like CoM, Estate of Unrest, the isle of refuge, court of the master, etc. make the starting item count like 1500 plus what you could do with expanders. Wouldn't be that much more taxing on the system but would open up a whole new world for decorating.
Dumb thought, but one I am currently really in love with because this is half of my item count number problem...but could we have a plant/tree/shrub category added separately for the homes...1200 items-1200 building blocks-1200 plants? I almost never use the free books (I know a lot do) and I am sure this would obviously tie in with the above request, but it would really be fantastic!

Shoot, the Baubbleshire "house"/neighborhood is hardly flat; there's ridges, waterways, etc., same with the Vale of Halfpint Delight. They do like their hills... :D

And while I don't think we'll ever get a third category for plants (or have their numbers "not count" up to a certain point, like with the books), I always thought that number of item/Building Block slots should be dependent on the "square footage" of the prestige place in question, since it's such a selling point in RL with real estate. Something like maybe a Personal Dojo, about as big as (if not smaller than) a 2-room house, might only have as many slots as a 2-room house; something the size of a Tier 2 Guild Hall (of either style ;->) should have had at least that many slots. Something like the Personal Grotto (oy) or even the Deepwater place could stand as many slots as maybe a Tier 3 Hall.

But when in doubt: walling off! ;)

The separate plant category was truly wishful thinking  but I agree, the item number allowed should be reflected by the size of the home / guild hall / etc. Walling off is definitely your friend. I've gotten pretty good at building inaccessible houses to take up space lol!

MORE BOATS FOR HOUSE. The Skiff is ok, but having a boat actually in the water and surrounded by water would be better.

Maybe a boat sitting at a dock and that's it. no island, just dock and boat and water. Maybe a small beach for zone-in.

The one issue I have with the small boats we have available is that if you try to settle them down properly in the water, it looks like they're leaking and half-swamped. :-/

With something like the earlier Rowboats, I'd always had to put something like nets or cargo or whatever in there deep enough to hide the water, but iirc, the Sampans from bygone Oceansfull events have a deeper hull and more "art" over that, so the water "getting in" isn't as noticeable, or even seen. :)

    Good art! :)

who wonders: are we gonna have actual dhow for the new "Middle Eastern"-ish kind of zone? :)

I still think the ship in Isle of refuge should be able to be taken around the island for excursions for the prestige home owner, and some guests.
  12. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

That would be cool! :) As it is, the only thing we could do would be to get the Galleon and have the portal for it on the ship on the IoR coast (and a portal for IoR on the Galleon)... :-/

    A valentine/erollisi themed home
  15. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

Heck, do 'em for all the holidays -- hmm, we have the Frostfell one(s); the haunted house-type things (including the storm-wracked island, complete with spooky tower); the Tinkerer's Island (that's strangely reminiscent of Gnomeland Security ;->); the Lavastorm one, that could easily be tweaked for Scorched Sky; you could make an argument that the Researcher's Sanctum and definitely the Deepwater Retreat could be for Oceansfull; ostensibly, just about any place could be set up for Brewday and Bristlebane's, but yeah, we could stand something for Erollisi Day. :)

    prestige house ideas:

Erollisi day themed prestige house. Nearly every holiday has one.
Brewday themed prestige house. I suggest an unbroken Kaladim
Bristlebane prestige house: Maybe one of the bristlebane day zones?
    Shadow Oak prestige house.
Shard of Hate prestige house. Preferably one that isn't all broken.
  17. Uwkete-of-Crushbone Well-Known Member

Maybe a small area of an unbroken Kaladim (Kalabright? ;)), like the Researcher's Sanctum and the Thurgadin city place are smaller versions of their originals?

As for Bristlebane -- hmm. That li'l island and bit of coast we go to, to reclaim the lost joke store stuff and get rid of the big bad boss, is that based on anywhere already? Looks like a shore of The Feerrott, what with the jungle plants and ruins.

wishful thinking, but as I was working on Heal the Pain and Tainted Love, I was thinking about perhaps a house based on one of the instance zones for Shard of Love as a house, it's brighter than the normal (or agnostic) version, although the normal version would work as well

I did see a research sanctum house where the builder had broken out and had a portal in the water...trying to remember who but it was on HoF. Not sure where the breakout point is but would probably just take some messing about and a lot of patience to find.

Could make it like Hogsmeade!!! Would need at least double / triple item count!!!
