there are some serious bugs going on in the new server. if you are decorating, please be aware that something you place may go missing and hitting load on your saved layout may cause havoc. we are hoping they will look into this and fix it. we have reported it and if you do so as well it will help - if you have a problem. we are hoping this won't cause any delays. if it does, we will deal with it when the time comes to do so.

if you haven't finished decorating, don't worry. we are going to extend the deadline. there have been massive upheavals lately, not the least a problem with things disappearing after the server merge and some people still don't have their missing items back. we will extend to at least November 1. the planning committee is discussing this and will let us know the exact date in a bit. if it is later than that i will tell you and if it is that date i will confirm it.

ok i talked to the planning committee. as you know, i am not in this alone and i don't make final decisions. i personally had a lot of problems with losing items and books being switched after the merger. they are totally against extensions. however, the compromise we reached is this. the judging will begin on the 27th as planned. but they will accept any houses submitted up to the 29th. that is the cut-off date. if it is submitted after the 29th it won't be judged. so do get those houses in.
