For a summoner coming back to the game, trying to catch up to current end game stuff, is the 2.0 epic pet a necessity? Is it still better than the standard summoned pets at 125?
The 2.0 pet is still necessary because the tier of that pet will buff your current pet, so you definitely want to upgrade the 2.0 pet to ancient and then use your current scout pet, whatever level you may be.
