"Those 'emote's"? /puzzled Heck, I just wish they'd finally give in and just place those silly loot things on the Marketplace once and for all. They might not sell as much immediately if people are desperately scrounging through packs of cards trying to get the things they want, but from what I understand, you can put stuff up on the Broker if you haven't claimed it yet? That's a "sale" that DBG isn't getting. :-/ If they just broke down and admitted LoN is dead, long live the LoN loot, and put ALL OF IT, every "season" or whatever's worth of loot up there on the Marketplace, maybe for more than a couple of bucks (maybe, oh, I dunno, 500 DBG, depending on what it is), and made it Heirloom or No-Trade or whatever, but you could at least see what you were getting right off, they'd have GUARANTEED SALES. I can't imagine why none of them are thinking along those lines. :-/ Uwk still firmly convinced the devs and other Powers That Be are allergic to making money, or are dollarphobic or something :-/
Are we ever going to get just plain windows or at least GLASS building blocks? They can even have a couple cracks or dirt marks... just PLEASE ... GLASS.. not frosted, not iced..
That was one idea I had for putting the stupid Loamy this and Loam that in a separate node (and away from the REAL METALS), and for those who'd mutter darkly about cherry-picking, etc., I'd have an NPC in Thundering Steppes or the Enchanted Lands or somewhere who'd ask people to provide him (or her) with different loam samples. And/or have new Carpy recipes that would enable us to make ordinary, generic windows, with Teak frames or Ash frames or Ethernere Stone frames or whatever would be appropriate for that tier, using Loams as a base ingredient (because not everyone's a Tinkerer, that's why). ;-> Uwk
...tennis shorts or white tights underneath? But looking at that, we already have the scarf, the antlers, the boots...hmm! Uwk
LOL. . . not exactly. We do have scarves. . .I will give them that. But not the little short dress. . . I mean heck. . . Give us a FROSTFELL KILT set for crying out loud! We already have THOSE in the game. How much trouble would it be to give us some designed for HOLIDAYS?
Oh good lord, that's BRILLIANT! Absolutely! All they'd need to do would be to change the colors to red/green and/or blue/white! Heck, if they don't want to do it, give us the recipes for it next year! Uwk
dear Devs: since we have holiday fruit baskets this year, can we have Erollisi baskets next? like rose baskets or candy baskets? - Tenchigirl
What I would very much like is to be able to rename the house portals. It would be nice to see the name we give our houses. For example, instead of seeing things like "Residence of the blades" while mousing over it, you'd see my "I Clan Deisos I Tavern" which would give the one visiting some indication of where they're walking into after clicking on the portal. And since many decorators have to use the same type of homes over time but with different toons, things can easily get a little confusing. Of course you can always use a mouthpiece or a sign but that can take away from the overall design or from the house count item limit. So that would be great to have as an option.
Eee, gods, that's a thought...so far, I have only one toon where the whole "if I Betray but already have a Mistmoore Crags Estate from my 7-Year Veteran /claim, maybe I can get it again in the other city!" thing actually worked, but it is confusing when you have two portals up, one for each, and all it says is, "[owner's name] Mistmoore Crags Estate. Beep." and it's not until you dive into it and look at the "Leave This House" bit and realize you could be stepping into the WRONG city... :-/ If, when hovering over it with the cursor, it would pop up, "[owner's name] Evil MMCE" or " ... Good MMCE" that would be brilliant. ;-> Uwk
I recently returned to the game after a four-year hiatus. I've really been enjoying (again) the aspect of home-building and decorating. Here are a couple of things that I would love to see implemented (with explanations): 1. Personal and Guild Depots are UGLY. We have these beautiful grand houses and grand guild halls, yet the depots look like they have been sitting at the bottom of a bog for a year, accumulating algae and detritus. At least most of them. I wish there were better models of both the personal and the guild hall depots. The guild hall ones cost a lot of plat and status, so why don't they look like they belong in a guild hall that people have worked very hard to decorate and upgrade? Same for personal depots. Several of them are just lackluster and that's even giving them too much credit. They are made with rare items - all the other rare crafted furniture at least looks like it's "special" - these definitely don't. Better models would be the Highhold chests or any number of the other chests available currently. 2. Crafting Stations need more models! The personal ones need to be spiffed up so they don't look rickety ramshackle. I have these gorgeous houses and then these look like the crafting tables that Jack built. I'd love to see a mastercrafted version (or even better - VERSIONS!) that look more like they belong in a guild hall or some of these fabulous houses we have access to now. This goes for the guild hall tables too. The City Merchant ones are ugly and the ones from Maldura are even worse. Some more options would be wonderful. How about the beautiful rich Redwood or Sumac. Why marble textured? It doesn't make sense, LOL. Nicely made, different versions for different decors. These are staples items - they need to be beautiful and have variation. That's all for now. I only bring this up as we've been working towards the Highkeep Guild Hall and I've been looking at these tables and chests and think - boy, what a beautiful guild hall and what ugly basic amenities we have to put in them now.
And on top of the Maldura appearances -- which I actually don't have a problem with, they are spiffier than the old wood and metal ones -- they also don't always "work" terribly well, once they finally got the animations for them, which took an inordinate amount of time. Things like lights and steam here and there for the Maldura Stove and Chem Lab, and the saw going back and forth for the Woodworking/Carpentry Table and the pen for the Desk are pretty simple, hard to screw up, but the grinding wheels for both the Forge and the Work Bench are massively "off." Not sure why the Art Dept. couldn't've modeled them after the ones we already have, animation-wise, and kept the actual wheel where it belongs, but when you're using either one of them, the grinding wheel itself hops its track and whirs merrily along all by itself in mid-air, thus jarring you out of the suspended disbelief (of your High Elven Wizard making hovering Klein bottles out of pocket lint and dental floss, essentially, but I digress ;->). :-/ Uwk who yeah, has muttered at them officially about it before...
How about some more Bowls/plates of gems only with bigger GEMS so when we sink them down into something the Gems still show and not the PLATE/BOWL??
Don't forget about Merriel's suggestion of oval/round cut out dividers. It's about time to add them to the building block family.
Can you just see one of the old-fashioned Watery "Tile" things (that look like big oval "swimming pools," but you can't sink into them) that used to be our only water option, shrunk down small enough and one of those cranked up big enough, to be one heck of a window (or aquarium wall)? Uwk
Ah, the sumac thingy. Hmm, there should be one somewhere in the pile of unused furniture stuff. Gonna try that piece in combination with the Erollisi pane I like so much
I would love to see a furniture depot vs a moving crate.. or at least the ability to "dump" all furniture from your bags into the moving crate like we do with the depots. ~ L ~
