With the current meta of constantly rotating burns, does the zerk epic pay off or is it a grind with little upside these days?
With high enough dex, you'll be at 100% crit rate without epic so the only positive effect is the extra small proc it provides. This proc I assume is boosted by our belt focus to make it a little better. I would never hit epic mid combat as you'll probably delay a combat round which would result in more damage loss than a minute of a small proc provides. Is it worth having? Sure, hit right before engage for a tiny boost in dps. Is it going to ruin your burn without it? Hell nah.
This qualifier needs more emphasis. "Pro" berserkers may not need the crit boost, but for anyone curious about the epic -- you're not a pro, you don't have remotely the dex stat to reach that threshhold, and missing crits is going to totally swamp the "dps loss" of epic's click time. Berserker epic 2 click is very very good. You're not seeing your full potential as a real berserker without it, you should get it and click it religiously.
