He's not saying it will ruin it, just that there will be more cheating on the server if that software is open source. It's already well known just how often a certain tracking software is used. With the ability to possibly get top loot from any rare/raid mob of its same level range and rare/raid classification, there will likely be more use of that and other cheats.

DZ's and free trading means the people who cheat past the True Box code can now just Bazaar sell their raid loot instead of exposing themselves to buyers.

None of that makes his point less valid, nice salt though.

It won’t ruin the server but it’s going to be very widespread unless DPG takes a very proactive stance on it.

    No.

It ruins everything, it's really not anything different or special for Mischief - implying its somehow different than any other server that's primarily non-instanced focused is inherently fallacious.

Every early era server where group gear often exceeds raid gear has the same problem.

Zaide is the Goat, has lead more successful TLP guilds then any other person in EQ history.. Dont think you're good at EQ cuz you're in a zerg guild..

ZAIDE = GOAT! certified by Bigz..

Bazaar would require Luclin - I assume you mean more EC w/ anons instead - and regardless, there's a hand off chain that can be easily determined by staff (or players if they do it by direct trade, rather than parcel) for such.

And regardless, there should be massive deflation in value for doing such - since inherently demand will be depressed - since demand for things like GEBs or an item from a difficult raid wasn't necessarily accessible to all - except now everything will be accessible to all, just a matter of better guilds and players having more spins at the same wheel, instead of being isolated to a minority.

Additionally, the ability to resell after means that once the handful that buy are done with theirs, they can then shed theirs becoming competition for the original vendor - increasing supply effectively as well.

Mind you, Zaide IIRC was the same one that said that DZs were a mistake and Phinigel would crash and burn quickly, no? The same Phinigel that will make it to live with two active guilds (almost 3, RIP Rosengard III) clearing nearly every raid in era. [OGC cleared literally all, Resolute missed Tier 3 TBM only]

There's definitely things to worry about, that would come across as buggy - but this one is one that logic dictates the ruleset will weed out itself a bit.

Zaide is an OK dude, but has he even seen Underfoot or beyond yet? Pretty sure he hasn't. Can't even recall seeing him anywhere past DoN or so.

    You do not recall correctly.

Macaroni Quest went open source like last week, hence it will be more prolific than on any server since Phinny when Holly made the deal with EQMule to prohibit (to the extent possible) its use on true box servers.

not sure if joking but 90% of the TLP audience won't care about anything past LDoN let alone DoN

LOL your bit about guild leaders. Really still can’t get gris out of your head? Why didn’t you throw in leaders who dox other players for yourself? That’s honestly worse than any accusation you threw out on others.
  13. Relentless Insomnia

    I disagree!

I have no idea what you guys are on about, probably for the better.

Hey bro you named names not me. I just described qualities common in “top” guild leaders for the last ten years. Def should have added doxing and trust funds though, I regret missing those.
  16. Lejaun Augur

    Commonlands and then Bazaar, yes.
The chain of command is more complicated. You don't know whether that item you buy is coming from a player who bought it from someone else and is trying to make a profit, or if it came from someone who raided and won the item, or a guild trying to raise funds for gems, or a raid mob farmer. Without that information, you are going to be submitting quite a few petitions before you eventually get one right.

Just like regular loot rule servers, a heavy portion of item demand will come from early access. The added feature on this server will be who wins the RNG lottery on loot, and who figures out what places will give them the best rare mobs to possibly get that loot the fastest (to increase their chances at hitting that lottery).

Again, it comes down to who has the product first in the marketplace. It also comes down to who is putting up the numbers to kill and win those lottery RNG games more often. FV has proven that hot items stay valuable for a long time. Mischief only needs that item to remain hot for a month or so to really rake in the money.

He seems to be a lot more accurate on the state of the game than most people on the forums and elsewhere. Especially when delving into situations/rulesets we haven't experienced before, it would be foolish to expect every prediction to be dead on accurate.

Certain folks must be soooo stoked they can spread out their groups to farm items.

Mentions qualities of top guild leaders, conveniently leaves out his own which is the worst quality.
But yeah you right, doing what you did definitely wouldn’t be considered a common thing among other people.
  19. Lejaun Augur

Pretty sure he took a dig at himself and even said so in the stream.
  20. Micubase New Member

Yeah you right. Accuses specific people of being racist liars and thieves but then decided to go with a harmless I quit after 3 days for himself. Seems reasonable to follow the first 3 with that, or was it cause he knows what he did trumps all of those? The high horse is mighty high.
