Normal, there is no more taelosian guard buff. Activating this item will unlock a passive alternate advancement ability that will increase your attack speed by 3% and your hit-point regeneration by 8.

No, its accurate. You get the item AA "Taelosian Guard" unlocked unless you already have that or a higher rank in the item AA line, thats what it says. Item AAs are on the "Special" tab. Activating this item will unlock a passive alternate advancement ability that will increase your attack speed by 3% and your hit-point regeneration by 8. The only reason we get the "Shadow" buff (which is a statless junk buff) is because before we had the item AAs, people would pad the first buff slots with the item clickies since they are easy to recast, to pad for dispells from events. When the buffs were converted to item AAs, players asked for the clicky to still cast a junk buff so we could continue padding our buff slots. Click the item to get the item AA, then click off the Shadow buff because it grants nothing. It's working as intended.
