Wizard's Mana Burn Ninja Fix?

It seems that Mana Burn, one a the few ADPS wizard AA, was ninja fixed in the last patch May 2018. Before the "Fix" Wizard A cast her MB on Hoshgar landing for 2.8 mil and a debuff that can do upto 9 mil if all 500 counters are expelled from spells, melee procs, ect. If Wizard B cast his MB before the Debuff fades or was triggered, no problem. His Mana Burn Hot Key would just reset and just needed to wait a bit longer for Wizard A MB to fade. Now what happens if Wizard B cast that same Mana Burn AA. His MB will overwrite the first Wizard's A Mana Burn wasting all that ADPS potential. Really!? no patch note.

It used to be reset but it would still take all your mana. Which was pretty terrible.

I'd rather it work how you've stated above. Just coordinate better or make a trigger to check if manaburn is already on the mob before your use it. The trigger could work off an /inspectbuffs.

nearly 20 years playing this game and still learning ;) +10/10 for /inspectbuffs on mob for mb and frostbound :)))) Thank you Kizant

So if wizard B casts manaburn slightly before the first manaburn fades, then wizard B will still give 2.8 mill dmg and 500 counters. The only downside is that the last few counters of wizard A's manaburn are wasted...

That just means sloppily coordinated manaburns are not penalized so harsh anymore, if they were "almost" fine. Thats a good thing, right? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Thats what we try to do, it's not always perfect though. And ill rather waste 10 counters from someone else's manaburn, than 70k mana. :)
