Why Does It Feel Like I'm Ice Skating?

So I'm coming over from P99 and the first thing I noticed on Ragefire was that my character felt oddly detached to the ground. Whereas before I felt a weight with every step, now my character moves around like its ice skating all over Norrath.

Why is this? Is it because characters on live move faster than in classic/p99?

I'm really confused.

Did someone cast a levitation effect on you?

Umm... no. And before someone asks, no, I'm not sowed either.

The way characters move on the ground in live are much different than classic/P99. Just wondering what changed.

Using old models currently.

If you want to make it feel like ye olden tymes, you could pack on about 300 extra weight. Careful walking down stairs.
