Why do Shamans focus Heroic Stamina?

    I was browsing magelo and i noticed that a lot of the top ranked shammies focus HSTA, is there a reason that it is better than HWis for them? Just wondering cause i am boxing a shammy and I keep on focusing Hwis, but will change if HSTA is better, I just would like to know why?

    Physical conversion spells (i.e. Canni or spiritual channelling) converts hit points to mana. Heroic Wisdom gains 20 mana per point and 1 mana regen per 25 vs Heroic Stamina gains 15 hit point per point and 1 regen per 20. Melee Shielding and Stun Resist are based on Heroic Stamina.

    What Brudal said. You get comparable returns on mana along with better secondary benefits.
