So they don't have multiple servers running different versions of EQ. it makes it easier for them. Get over it. Just be glad they don't dissolve your awful server and go back in your hole.
According to the American Heart Association, 90% of Americans consume too much sodium. On average, adults are eating more than double the amount of sodium they should. You may be salty too without even knowing it!
All data/code must remain the same between all servers (including all types of servers), otherwise Really Bad Things happen. Just because content hasn't been unlocked on a server (or a change doesn't *sound* like it will affect a progression server) doesn't mean that we can just ignore it all willy-nilly. Keeping things in sync ensures that all servers have the same expected behavior and prevents us from having to juggle a million different things constantly
Like when they changed the locked doors on progression servers which made it so you could no longer illusion thru them on live servers. It affects us all.
more importantly, why are we now getting extended downtime 3 times in the past 2 weeks... dec 11, 13, 18? =[
Expansion launch. Immediate high priority fixes, other fixes. Did you not expect this? If next week wasn't xmas I'd expect one then as well.
Guess it can go both ways, if it wasn't for the people that kept buying the expansions and kept the game alive for them to create these types of servers for the people that are coming back for it... And while these servers for expansions might not need a subscription to play, they do need a subscription to be able to experience all the content in said expansions.
