Was thinking of starting a ranger on a progression server, but I would prefer to use the bow. Can anyone tell me what xpacs use bow, and what ones use melee? Dont need to know below OoW. THANKS
in PoP, if your guild is , then you use a bow that you purchase from a fletcher in a guild that isn't . other than that, melee!
You start using your bow much more once you get EQ/AM3 and a Planar Bow either player crafted or dropped from PoP raids. Then though, you're really only using your bow when you use your bow disc. You'll be melee mainly, other than discing, up until maybe EoK? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
During oow, most casual non elemental ranger used ele bow until they got melee weapons that parsed higher. (Ele/time equivalent)
