Do any of you have stories about the Guild War feature? What was it like? All I know is just a 2nd hand story from my dad playing original EQ. He said he had a ongoing guild war against another top Bertox raiding guild back in the day but no other details.
It depended on your guild, the server and the other guilds. It was kind of a mass PVP where your guild challenged another guild and you fought it out. It could have been ongoing like your dad's was but most only lasted a few hours. A little like gang wars in real life. We had a couple and tbh they were kinda boring. I doubt they would bring it back due to the mechanics of having PVP randomly on live severs but of more impact would be the fact there might not be other guilds of your guilds statute to engage.
