Is it possible to create an item in the marketplace that would either make a non-removeable weapon ornament that could be sold for say 100 DBC or one that would create a permanent one for 1000 DBC, from any weapon in the game? Ornaments seem like all they do is change the model/texture ID the weapon calls, is it possible to make an item that would copy those IDs from an item, let's say Stone Etched War Sword, and create from it a weapon ornament that would either be permanent or a 1 time application. I feel like this would be a very popular item on every server, TLP and Live alike and would pay for the hours of dev time it cost pretty quickly. I understand there's a quarter century of spaghetti that could cause issues with this idea, but it would also just let people who might not otherwise buy or earn an ornament use something they personally really like that isn't available as one.
Its not "an ID", the graphic is part of the item data, EQ weapons weren't made with the graphic separate like in EQ2 where they can just auto generate an ornament. Every time they make an ornament they have to manually create the item, the recipe, the icon, and the graphic. The devs have also stated they do not want to have ornaments generally available for "unique/named" weapons.
