Hello everyone, sorry for being such a noob, but i'm back to EQ for like 4 or 5 weeks now. I stopped after PoP release and was used to play a cleric so i'm not really fluent with warrior mechanics aswell as all the new stuff since then. I read in some threads and even in game that 1hander + shield is the best combo and DPS for war nowaday but i admitted that is for high end one (aka lvl 95+)... Now i'm wondering if i'm wrong and if i should start thinking of getting a shield instead of my offhand weap and putting the right AA's... For now i'm lvl 75 with around 400 AA's, i some of you could share the "light" i'd be glad PS : sorry for my english skills and thanks for your time.
there really is never any time that you shouldnt be shield and 1h...it is the best defensive stance out there as shield ac is uncapped (put the biggest ac aug that you can find in your shield!) and as you start to aa and can afford to spend some aa's for dps type stuff (after your mitigation, avoidance, hitpoints and agro tools!!) buy shield specialist and improved shield specialist and then sword and board also becoem the best dps stance as well
Level 85/max shield spec/shield block. Keep dual wield bandolier updated, agro is never guaranteed for our class.
While its always good to keep bandolier up to date, would have to disagree with the aggro never guaranteed bit. You will see when you max everything out, and I don't just mean SB/ISS.
