This works fine now for spells like Cloudburst and our bream with 0 seconds cast time. But it's not working with procs. I guess there's a level limit of some kind? It's an OK change but won't be very noticeable if it's just for our one instant nuke timer. We're talking like 500 DPS or something for a long event or something pretty low.
  3. Sancus Augur

Just looking at the AA data I feel like the removal of those restrictions should allow it to work on procs? Unless they added in a level limit. This is what it is right now:

1: Increase Spell Damage by 2000 (After Crit)
    2: Limit Type: Detrimental
3: Limit Min Casting Time: 0.001s
4: Limit Min Mana Cost: 10
    5: Limit Max Duration: 0s
  4. kizant Augur

That's what I thought too but it doesn't and I'm not sure where to get the data on AAs. I tried cloudburst, beam, dicho, and a focusable proc on test a few minutes ago and all worked but the proc. AA nukes don't get it either. The description says spells and abilities but we don't really have any other abilities. Maybe arcane fusion is getting the benefit? I'll test that one day when I get around to it but it wouldn't matter enough.
  5. Rubiota Journeyman

Grimling forest is still the older version of the zone active making Beastlord epic 1.0 and 2.0 impossible to complete.

Are we supposed to be testing something from the older version or can we have this reverted?
  6. CatsPaws SMH

This is not a bug but wanted to report that whatever changes you made on test appears to have fixed the sound on live servers. :confused:I logged in on live (I do not play test) and that beautiful EQ music started as game started just like before, sounds at merchants and in baz like used to be. Instead of it popping in here and there is appears to be working right. I logged in second account and music works correctly on it also.

About half of us never had the problem with volume control on bags and spells - we just had broken music all over lol.

  7. klanderso Developer

If that's the case (nothing at all was pushed to live) then it was most likely something unrelated that changed and "fixed" it (my #1 suspect is a windows update or something).

He might be patching Test and Live to the same EQ folder directory. This would probably cause some of the test files to be overwriting the Live files if they are named the same and relatively the same file size?
  9. Gyurika Godofwar Augur

What is the purpose of the "test poll"? Just curious.
  10. CatsPaws SMH

I found that there was a live backend EQ server upgrade this morning before I logged on and will be another in a few hours. This is most likely what caused the sound to get fixed. Usually we, the players, see no sign of this happening but there were some live server burps that resolved very quickly.
  11. Prathun Developer

Yeah, we can set it back to the modern version on Test in the soon(tm) future.
Thanks to everyone who tested the original zone out and reported their findings.
  12. Mr. Froo Developer

The backend of poll data was cleaned up to be less server intensive and cleaner. It has no real player facing impact, but figured it would be safer to have it simulated in a large player environment instead of just the dev team answering the same questions over and over again.

That wouldn't have anything to do with sounds, nor was anything pushed to live (server or client) today. It's most likely a "perfect storm" of various little things (random windows updates, a fresh reboot, plugging your devices in a slightly different way, etc.) that caused the change you're hearing.

  14. Angahran Augur

Any chance of an example for this because I think I'm miss8ng something.
  15. Jondalar Augur

    Sounds are still broken.
  16. Angahran Augur

I'm seeing messages "x is healed by an ancient alliance" in two different windows (and in two different colors). Is this message somehow on two different filters ?

Also getting spammed to death with "You feel replenished by a chorus of voices."

    Well that's gonna suck :(
There are times when people need to be able to cast group spells on their own group while having someone else outside of their group targeted.

Any chance of having this just default to on but retain ability to turn it off ?
  17. Daedly Augur

You should create a thread in the Veteran section about it. I am willing to be you will get a lot of opinions. ;)
  18. kizant Augur

Looks like it has a limit of 254 so bleh. We could have used a small bump from it working on procs too... Although, considering they haven't replied to me I'm thinking they might be adding some new ability next expansion that it will work with.
  19. Venau Augur

Really? No reply means they will address it in some way via the release of the next expansion? That's awsum and I hope you're right! A certain class has not heard a reply about a promised DoT revamp for quite some time!

    /fingers crossed you're right on this theory:D
  20. Elskidor Augur

    No replies are tight
