Suggestion: Add Krono as a Bazaar selling price option

You can acquire that loot without krono, granted it might be harder but it is still possible.

True. Unfortunately I haven't found one since cotf, some people have crap luck. Paying plat or krono is just easier. Maybe my luck will change in ToL!

There is more to a game then min/maxing everything and honestly you don’t need the chase loot to play as a grouper.

They can't really do that straight up - or probably wouldn't want to. Second Life does that - where in game currently can be purchased or sold via company web pages.

Well, it became an issue with the 'in-game' gambling in Second Life as it ran headlong into various gambling laws, creating some headaches for them for sure. Likewise in EQ as some people run various casinos and such in game. Then if "NFTs" ever start to be taxed, they might have to deal with that as well.

I would suspect DBG doesn't want any issues like that with a direct association between Krono and RL cash.

I'm not here to debate play style philosophy. Some people min/max, some people hang out in CR and help newbies or just do all tradeskill on every alt. That's your way of playing and how you spend your in game time is up to you. The chase loot was designed FOR groupers. You don't need it but it's there to have raid quality items at a groupers play time.

Sure sounded like you are when you questioned why people would not be using krono to try to obtain chase loot when it wasn’t even relevant to the thread.

I think you misinterpreted the question but that's okay I will explain it a little better. Tappin said he plays with groupers and non raiders that don't buy krono, I was seeing if said casuals still purchased krono through means of plat to buy chase loot. Since this thread IS about krono as a currency after all.

Nope this thread is about adding it to the bazaar and there are many things besides chase loot that get sold for multiple krono all the time. A lot of purely cosmetic items such as heritage crate items go for plenty. The way I read your post was you questioned who would not want to use krono to purchase chase items.

So you are saying that if we were to "Add Krono as a bazaar selling price option" that it wouldn't be considered a currency even though it is being exchanged like one? Regardless of what it's being exchanged for I think that still make it a currency.
That's the thing about the internet; a glass half empty type of person will read something entirely different than a glass half full. I can see that we're just gonna have to settle this with a ruler because that's what this is turning into.

You noped my defining of what the thread is about. Buying chase loot with krono is not an expectation but a fact. A real hard fact. It has happened before, happens everyday and will continue to happen in the future. I know opinions are tossed around here way more than facts so let that one marinate a little.

Just don’t understand what your post about the players you play with and your self using krono to purchase chase gear has anything to do with question of adding it as a usable currency in the bazzar. There can be lots of posts about how people use them but that doesn’t go to the question on if they should or shouldn’t be used in the bazzar as a currency. There are a lot of issues with the bazaar currently and I would question if any one solution would do much to fix them.

Krono is already currency now. Putting it as an option in the Bazaar doesn't change anything. It just allows people not to have to /auction items that are worth more than 2Mpp(current and last expansion raid items) or are selling for krono. On FV, most newer raid items sell for Krono, due to their enormous price. Its easier to have 12 krono, than to have 60M pp on a toon. Krono is now the currency above PP, which is a 23yr old currency. It just makes buying and selling high end items easier. Would be nice to be able to buy/sell high end items in the bazaar, without having to wait for someone on and /auctioning the item and without missing the person looking for that item.

Prices will be what the demand calls for. If someone prices something too high, no one will buy it. If they do, then the price wasn't too high. You don't NEED to buy anything, you choose to. Krono sales are the best for DPG, because they are more than a subscription is. Kronos were made to be valuable, in game currency, that's their whole purpose. No one would buy one, if you couldn't sell or trade it.

You can't connect how the two are related? The personal experience I drew from to convey my point showed that players could use krono to make chase loot purchases in the bazaar if it was an option. If telling you that myself and players in my circle make chase loot purchases triggered you in anyway then I apologize. You may go on to say that it was unnecessary information but telling you how people make chase loot purchases on my server directly relates to the topic of adding krono to the bazaar. This thread started as a mere suggestion with a question if it can be done not a question of if they should or shouldn't be used.

There's more demand then supply for kronos. So if your wanting people to be able to sell them on a trader so you don't have to broadcast that your buying in a general chat.

The price of krono is going to go up.
Buyers are going to be aggresive trying to resell them and they will bring up the prices as well.

So if your selling the kronos this is good, but if your wanting to buy kronos, easier way with plat (goto the bazaar rather than no kronos being sold in bazaar and using general chat or friends to get them). The price is going to go up, its bad for you.

Buyers will be very aggresive on reselling these. Prices are going to go up faster than they go up without being able to sell them in bazaar beacuse 2mil is very low price to sell when you can sell to someone easily 2.5mil, 3mil if you don't mind waiting.

Kronos are just another currency, and also act as a store of value to protect against inflation on platinum. It would work to also use nobles, or increase the plat cap in bazaar and barter. However krono as a price may actually save a conversion step for people.

The bazaar will be improved when spam in /general and /ooc become a problem. Thats what happened before. They said they would never add a bazaar but then east commonlands became spam heaven so they did.

And the two being related has what to do with your group of players using them and another group of players not using them?
