The game is about getting small increases in defensive spells , armour etc which on their own are not very significant but when put together make a significant increase in your survivability and dps.
Ok, here are some things to think about: 1) It is not 0.006% -- it is 0.6%. Just like 0.03 cents is not the same as $0.03. You are off by a factor of 100. 2) The AC vs ATK scale is not linear, it is a bell curve. If you are fighting mobs that are a challenge (ie, capable of doing significant damage to you) that 30 AC represents much more than just 0.6%. If you are fighting something completely trivial, then it makes no difference at all (or atleast far lower than 0.6%) 3) I do around 5000 DPS with auto attack on. Procs fire roughly 5 times a minute. A 400 dmg proc that crits every now and then would add 40 DPS or 0.8%. 4) The aggro added is insignificant. Krondal's Roar does 6300 initial aggro and another 3000 aggro per tick. Over a minute it would do like 42000 aggro, not counting the aggro from that 5000 DPS we are doing. If you are not a warrior, then the comparison is even less favorable as both SK's and Paladins out aggro warriors easily.
