Hey guys, total noob here. I never got around to playing EQ and decided it is time to do so. for a new person would a high, medium, or low pop server be best? currently downloading and haven't made a character yet.

They use to show hi/med/lo but I dont think so anymore.
Here is player point of view survey on population if you looking for that info,

Also, not so much anymore, but Stromm, now Luclin, was the newbie server back in the day.
I'd recommend Mangler if you decide to pay, which will be more enjoyable. It has low level people, progression server, and the people decided to stick around on it. The live servers I don't think you will be seeing any newbies until lvl 65.

If you as a newbie want to get good experience of what EQ is all about, Mangler would be best in my opinion, but you have to pay.

They did used to say it on the server select screen and it does not any more, but the high, med and low information is still available on the server status web page. It doesn't say numbers though.
