So what are the trends on your server for race/class/gender combos? Here's the view from Povar, which is a pretty low pop server: * Human anything, especially female and especially evil. Almost all the monks I see are Iksar. * Halfling non-druids or rogues. Haven't seen a warrior or cleric in dog's years. * Ogres for anything, especially females. They used to be popular as tanks because of stun immunity but AA and gear killed that * Trolls, especially females. The only exception seems to be shadow knights. * Wood elf warriors, especially females * Dwarf berserkers. Not sure why * Half elf anything. * Barbarians, except shaman. I can't remember the last barb rogue I saw. There was a time when race meant something, with pluses and minuses and penalties. time, gear, and AA have rendered all of that moot. Personally I think the lack of human and half-elf players is aesthetics because they are bland if not ugly. Ogre and troll are ugly too but that's baked into the race. Looking around the GL I see a ton of high elf and dark elf casters, quite a few iksar and drakkin and a smattering of other races. Trolls appear to be the least popular. Dark elves are the most popular and why not? Their armor is absolutely killer. Since Velious DE armor has been the best in the game. Now since people will say it just to be argumentative, this is not an absolute. It's a trend I've observed, looking around the GL. What are you seeing?
Many tanks I see are ogre's. Being egg shaped and colourful even in the ETW era is still useful (less so than before) for healers getting a heads up you're about to jump something.
I generally agree with OP, but I have a: Human Male Mage Ogre Berserker Female troll berserker (named after Dhumavati, she's perfect) Dwarf berserker half elf bard (second uhh, main) barb war (main) It'd be interesting to have someone parse magelo or something to find the rarest combinations of class/race/gender. I have to imagine that female wood elf warrior would be up there.
lol, maybe it's just me, but... I have an Ogre warrior I have a troll zerker I have an Ogre shaman (which is a pain in the butt, btw... ogre shaman + mount = HUUUUGE) I have a dwarf zerker I have a human bard ... *shrug* ... YMMV
I rarely see... Wood Elf Warrior Dark Elf Warrior Human Anything Troll Beastlord Erudites in general but I’d say Paladin or Enchanter are the most rare Halfling Rangers (can they be rangers? Maybe I’m dumb) Froglok Shadow Knights Froglok Monks (although I have one, best animations for a monk IMO)
I must be a rare breed. Troll Beastlord - check Troll Berzerker - check Human Bard - check Froglok Warrior - check Erudite pally and any female troll is my pick

They ruined my troll beastlord when they changed the pet from an alligator to a Basalisk. Can I ask any of you devs why that was done?
