Race and Class Combo Clash: Round Three

Drizzt Do'Urden is a drow (dark elf) from Menzoberranzan, one of the largest cities in the underdark of Faerun. He became a ranger when he left the underdark to live on the surface. He is a popular character in several of R. A. Salvatore's books.

Dark Elf Ranger makes no since when compared to the Lore of EQ.

I bet a Dark Elf Ranger will be the winner because a Developer or friend of one wants to play this class/race combo.

Best solution, IMO, is one vote, per account (not daily, one vote ever per round), only accounts that existed before the voting was announced are eligible to vote. Voting should have been done in the in game polling process.

To be honest, am in agreement with Kanu. We already have a perfectly good voting system in game. It's a shame that people can't be more creative than the current round of dark elf ranger = Drizzt. Even that series of books, whilst popular, is terribly cliched in my honest opinion.

Ironically R.A. Salvatore plays a monk...

If I was given the option of Gnome Monk I would race change ASAP. Then I would change my name to match my new race.

i refuse to vote for either DE character I see a fix in the voting and in truth you should never have made it possible to make it a DE vs DE competition at all. Vah Shir druid still made sense to me. If you wish to fix the fix in voting you should just allow all the first round classes come april 15th and if you feel there should be something special to the winner give that race and class a special item or merc or if you wish to make a profit from it make Station Cash item you can buy for the winning race and class.

And yes I am still sore about the Vah Shir druid losing when last day of voting it was leading 56%.

Im guessing its going to be between dark elf ranger and iksar berserker (i hope looses) but im not interested in neither, im also disappointed the devs elected to make a concrete decision on the froglock monks, the way they originally hyped this up was that there was going to be a couple new race class combos we could vote on. They should of just opened all class/race combos.

If you are too lazy to click Dark Elf mask (Casino/Neriak Fourth) every 36 minutes-1 hour, vote for Dark Elf Ranger. If you are too lazy to click DE mask every 16-30 hours, vote for Dark Elf Bard.

I'm a bit perplexed that the majority of folks would prefer a wood elf to a gnome for a new beastlord race.

Then again, they didn't offer a Sarnak option which would be the best of all. =)

A gnome with a clockwork pet, while a cool idea by itself, makes zero sense as a beastlord. Robots are not beasts. Beastlord magic revolves around harnessing wild animal spirits, which is not a good fit for robots or gnomes. The entire epic line makes no sense with robots.
To be fair, trees aren't beasts either, but at least wood elves are connected to nature; it makes way more sense for them to be dealing with animal spirits. Hopefully, they'll change the warder if WE bst wins.

Class combos suck for the most part. There's too many dark elves firstly. Tired of seeing them. Also, the race class combos don't make sense from a lore standpoint.

What we need are:

Gnome monk
High elf warrior

Iksar berserker and erudite rogue are the only tolerable combos.

Sure it might have been ahead on the last day 56%, BUT the other were WAY ahead til the last day, and no way the vah shir druid could have catched that up in last day. Leading by something like 66-69%. Only way to catch up, would have been someone or someones vote/reset cookies/vote ....

Let's be honest de ranger was going to win from day 1. They could have interesting lore with it. A sect using the power of nature for corruption would be an interesting idea much like the unkempt preservers in rathe mountains. De would be the perfect choice to corrupt tunares gift to Norrath. Other combos I think would be fun. De bard I always thought should be a choice. Music is the perfect medium for manipulation and given we also have the maestro in pohate. Wood elf bst would be cool but I don't think treant is a beast in the typical sense of the word. A wasp or faydrake think would be a better choice for pet. Iksar berserker makes sense I guess but it's a bit boring and I just don't play iksar typically. Dwarf sk could have been cool. The dwarfs weakness to seduce them to such a path could have been their lust for wealth and perhaps power so a innorruk or rallosian faction could have come into play. I hope either way it is not just a marketing ploy and they actually add some content and lore around the new combo. If iksar berserker wins they will need a green mist stle quest added too!

Gnome Monks don't make any sense lore wise either and neither do HE warriors really.

As long as DE rangers are not allowed to participate in typical ranger only quests which obviously go against the lore you are implying.

No epics, for example.

No doubt people will complain that faction needs to be made easier, else level one up and race change after the quests are done. The traditional tunare karana deity options should not be a choice.

I have to agree I would not pick either of them.
