I recently came back to the game after 2 year break. I dropped a bunch of hero's forge armor into the new key ring option. But for the life of me can't figure out how to dress my toon in those pieces. I right click until the piece pops onto my cursor, but when I try to put into slot 4, type 21 it tells me I am not holding an aug even though its on my cursor. I did a search of the forums but couldn't find anything. There is probably an easy way I am just not seeing it. All the others(mounts, illusions, familiars) are just right click but I am at a loss on how to do the heros forge stuff.
yeah, the keyring isn't a bandolier for fast swapping, it's just storage.. it works to store individual armor pieces as well as full sets.
Holding the mouse button over an item in a keyring is only making a hotkey for that item. With ornaments, you have to actually remove the item you want to use from the keyring and place it in the ornament slot on your piece of armor. The ornament keyring isn't like the others...it's just a place to store armor ornaments.
