    Help :(
Running Win 10. Of course. Tried to update permissions. Even went into the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc hosts.txt file and added in
    69.16.175.42 cds.x6g5q2n3.hwcdn.net eq.patch.station.sony.com

Which I had heard would help the situation.. to no avail.
I don't know why on earth the host name is trying to resolve to sony.com.. that makes no sense to me. It's like everything suddenly reverted to over a year ago. There's a 32k patch that just.. won't.

    Instead the patcher tells me:

    Checking game installation...
    Found 61 file(s) to update.
    Creating Resources/Layers/PSROBEMAYONG_IT.txt
    *Warning: Retrying Resources/Layers/PSROBEMAYONG_IT.txt

    *Warning: Retrying Resources/Layers/PSROBEMAYONG_IT.txt
*Error: Unable to download SocketError:Host Not Found (11001) -

    And finally...

Any help would be appreciated. This is frustrating.

    having same issue
    tried disable windows firewall
    tried disable mcaffee
    tried different internet
    tried run as admin
    tried uninstall/reinstall

    EDIT
    ============
Changing my hosts file did fix my issue (google how to modify hosts file)
I added the following at the bottom of the file....
    69.16.175.42 cds.x6g5q2n3.hwcdn.net eq.patch.station.sony.com

To test that you properly modified your hosts file.....
    Open a cmd.exe and type ping eq.patch.station.sony.com

    C:\>ping eq.patch.station.sony.com
Pinging cds.x6g5q2n3.hwcdn.net [69.16.175.42] with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 69.16.175.42: bytes=32 time=16ms TTL=56

If you get something else than a reply then you did not do it properly.

I can't even install a new copy to a new directory. :( And yes, I've tried all the above as well. You aren't alone!

Finally! I had to copy the file to my desktop, where I could change it, delete the hosts file from the target directory, then copy the entire file into it so it wouldn't become a TXT file. But I did it, I'm IN!!
