Are you guys really too inept to add a restriction to the server generated chat channels and prevent this from happening? This game is done up in text files and spreadsheet databases. How about making an absolutely simple change to prevent this from happening in the future. Could it be you guys really just don't care about players' experience and enjoyment with the game they're paying you to play? Perhaps this company has said making money and being a profitable company just isn't what they're about anymore (read: since before Smedley left)? You guys do realize interns still in college would actually give you better results than the people you're paying salaries, right?
You realize it's not a password that is keeping you, rather the channel is just full. Once it reaches 401 people the channel will not let anyone in and the error message just states that you are missing the password.
you're getting awful salty about a chat channel being full. dont know why a company would put in any effort into retaining customers like yourself when there are plenty of reasonable people who will still play the game.
It used to but their chat servers crashed repeatedly because it couldn't handle the traffic. So the put a limit on public channels.
Yes, I don't know why a company would want to keep their login servers accessible to paying customers either, and yet all the while never let their cash market servers ever go down. Seems reasonable.
now that your other point was pointed out as being you leap for another angle. you're a great player and we all hope you keep plaguing our community, daybreak better step in and make the changes you demand or we'll all lose! just dont play, continuing to play while about it has no effects on business. boycott it, show us all how deeply you hold your convictions.
You do realize that all applications are just 'text files' and many of them store their information in either a 'spreadsheet database' or serialized in yet another 'text' file?
Just the other day, people were unable to send payments through. Be as salty as you like, but there are several posts in the Player Support forums of people having issues with payments.
