There's a guy on Phinigel selling 19 copies of the SK spell Dread Gaze in the bazaar. How do you get 19 copies of a spell from the turn-in vendor? The way it works is that you turn in the runes and you get spells in a specific order. Once you have all the spells, he won't take the runes anymore. It doesn't seem to matter whether you have scribed the spell or not, the order is maintained. Perhaps it only matters that you have either A) scribed the spell or B) have it in your inventory. If you want 20 copies of Dread Gaze you just keep handing the spells you receive to an alt and keep handing in runes. Does anyone know?

By the way, any other scenarios I can think of are just too costly to consider (using alts, deleting spells from your spell book, etc.).

I'm not 100% but a guess would be he turned in enough to get to that spell in the spell order, destroyed them as he got them, and used reclaim tokens to get them all back.

If you trade spell instead of scribing it, when you turn in another rune you will get that spell again.

What everyone said is correct. To add on, the spells were originally no drop, so people didn't bother trying this stuff, but when researching came out, they made the copies drop able to make research more viable.

Now that researching is nerfed.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As others mention, you trade the spell before turning in an additional Rune or scribing it.

Pro of this is you can sell the spell.

Con is you have to turn in all the prior spells to get to this point and you cannot scribe the spell yourself.

Easy. Turn in the rune, get the tradeable spell, trade the spell, turn in the next rune, it looks and since you don't have the scroll or have it scribed, ti gives you that spell again. Rinse and repeat.

Someone did this with Hand of Conviction on Phini.

Or he bought out all the lower priced scrolls and put them up at a higher price to make plat?

Nah, easy enough to farm specific spells if you don't scribe it.

It looks for what you have memorized OR is in your inventory. It doesn't keep a running list of what spells each player has received from turning in. You're talking about a single NPC keeping a specific table database for every single player in the game. That would be extremely inefficient.

    Yep, I'm seeing that now.

Pretty much exactly how you can force specific outcomes for your Casino turn-ins if you have all of the other rewards in inventory.
