I'm a newbie/noobie heroic SK. I really still don't have a good grasp or concept on stats, let alone anything else.. I'm level 86 and just doing SoD progression purely to sight-see at this point, trying to get that 2H club from oceangreen hills achievement. I solo w/journey 5 healing merc almost exclusively. Now the question I have is what 2H weapon can I get that is better than my heroic jumping axe or that achievement one? I just got my 1.5 epic and will do the 2 soon, but are there anything out there around my level that is reasonably obtainable? The 2 epic seems weaker than my heroic 1h axe. I know it's all sword and board it seems, but I really, really like that old-school SK+2Her.
Hammer of Greatness, drops in lower house (HoT expansion), from Dreamslayer in that zone. Droppable too so u could buy in bazaar if lucky. Maybe Bone Hafted Maul, drops in VoA in argath from Felasath named, also droppable so u could buy in bazaar also but i wouldn't count on it. Both of these mobs might be too tough for u to molo, might have to find some help. Maybe someone on your server could help depending on what that is.

You'll probably want to limit the sources to like group or bazaar. Especially bazaar (which will mostly give you attunable gear at 85) if you're soloing since you probably can't really get a group drop solo/molo. (without better gear) Basically you're gonna be aiming to get a t1 group HoT/VoA gear for buyable stuff. (heroic gear is just below t1 group HoT gear) Also note, at 85 you get max ranks for shield specialist, which does help out sword and board DPS. Personally I found the DPS increase from 2h not being greater due mainly to SS, but I also had a group so I was less worried about tank DPS. It also depends on which items you have
rapier of legends is approach the hammer of greatness and its one hand weapon the Voa Tier 1 stuff is too good, if you have TBM you might be able to get a good weapon from there
Extravagant Infused Knight's Great Sword + Illustrious Vicious Symbol of the Skeptic That is super easy to make/have someone make, and it beats anything you can realistically expect to get in that level range. There is a comparable pair for 1h fighting as well.
Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up finding and buying a bone-hafted maul for now. How does that compare vs the extravagant knight great sword? The maul has a higher base damage by far and not much slower? I assume that attune adds 88 to base damage? I'm not sure how that works? I can't really tell if it's better than the out-of-the-box newbie heroic jumping axe and shield. I'm looking to upgrade armor and as mackal suggested, that tier 1 is my next goal. What is the general consensus regarding knight 2h vs 1h, especially from a heroic molo perspective?
197/36 > 201/37 (divide to get the weapon ratio) . . . though not enough to make it worth changing if you plan to keep leveling. You don't want to go much lower than a 34 delay regardless of whether you go 2h or 1h or you'll be in conflict with your spell-casting.
