Can someone explain how I (as a new player) should go about finding a guild? Specifically, how do you find a guild that is open to new players that want to learn the game and how raids/etc. work? I have a feeling I'm going to need a very relaxed group of folks that understand why I may want to twerk with a dark elf or circumcise a dragon mid-dungeon, but I also can be a team player when its needed... I think (backstabby!!!) Really wanting to start with the new TLP server coming online in May. Thanks in advance for all the sage advice!
Take a look at some of the posts in this section of the forums, a few guilds here and there tend to plan things way in advance. Otherwise once the TLP does launch, almost everyone will be in the "NewPlayers" chat channel as well as General for at least the first 5-10 hours-ish so you could always ask in there. Some people more inclined to actually be guild leaders may also reach out in posts such as this one xD.
