I never really go into playing a monk other than auto attack on a box at low levels or friend had them so I never had a need to play one. I decided to main on on Oakwynd and it's been pretty fun. But I am trying to rais my DPS b cause I am somewhat fighting for the top DPS out of 3 people. I currently bare fist it with my epic until I get either/both tunare fist and Vulak drop. 1) should I be using Ashenhand over Thunderkick? I find a lot of back and forth but the information is pretty old. 2) Kael or Skyshrine Armor? Or it best to mix and match? We have a faction modifier so it's easy to swap back and forth as needed. Or does it not matter just grab what I can. 3) Currently I have 191 str 179 Dex I have been keeping them pretty much even while I gear up. I had higher DEX than STR but my STR was pretty low and was doing way less DPS until I started evening then out. I noticed one of the monks that beats me most of the time hits harder then I do (which is why he beats me.) I am sure I will have more questions.
