Currently I have Em 29 and I'm loving the 117 tank pet. My question is EM 30, how big a difference is it going from your pet being 119 to 120?
I haven't parsed it yet, but I'll see if I can do so tonight with various configurations of pets. Going from 28 to 29, however, was a boost of around 500 dps (the pet stayed level 114).
On a level 121 dummy (120 AC), I had the same Unrelenting Assassin spell cast with two EM earrings, EM 29 and EM 30. Performance on the dummy with two naked pets (only Sigil of Undeath Rk 2) from behind since they have no weapons for around 300 seconds each: EM 29 -- 88.3k dps. Max non backstab is 39k (avg 22k). Max backstab was 312k (avg 153k) EM 30 -- 91.5k dps. Max non backstab is 40.5k (avg 22k). Max backstab was 331k (avg 170k) Tanking capabilities are more difficult to test since there's not a uniform way like there is for straight DPS outputs.
Maybe fight a mob, let your Merc heal. Pay attention to the mana used. Fight the same level mob, with new pet and see how much mana the healer uses, as an approximate guess at toughness.
