TLP specific question here as I got bored the other day and decided to work out the various cast orders for Necro DPS options. No, I don’t play a Necro but I like numbers, excel and problem solving. Yes, the real problem is a non-existent DoT revamp... When clicking the Anguish robe (as an example), it says Crit DoT 40%. My question is: Does each tick check for existing Crit rate or is the Crit rate fixed at the time you cast the DoT? In example, if I load 6 unique DoT on a mob, then click the robe will all the subsequent ticks check against the improved Crit rate running as a short term? Or, does the benefit only apply to spells cast once the short term is up? Also - can you Crit Lifeburn? If so is the instant damage component managed by spell crit or DoT Crit?
crit buffs affect dots as they tick. For the duration of CoA robe, for a necromancer with AAs & epic2, every tick of every dot running will crit.
