Hello, posting here today because I cannot get my mouse scroll to work whatsoever in Everquest. It works fine on my internet browser and other games, and it wont work in Everquest. Any help please?
When you say fresh install, does that mean you did not copy ANY files from a previously installation? Where did you install EQ, default location or alternate location such as games\everquest? What are you trying to do with scrolling while in game? Chat screens have the ability to disable scrolling. Right click on chat bar. Scrolling should be 2nd, right under Window. Enabled it has an * next to it.
Yes, no files were copied, I installed the entire client online. I just installed it into C:/Everquest Does that mess with it somehow? I'm using a laptop mousepad to scroll, and I can scroll with everything else but Everquest. I searched another post by a GM that said to erase certain files, I did so and it still didnt work.
http://superuser.com/questions/221551/synaptics-touchpad-scroll-doesnt-work-on-many-applications The above for reference for the moment, especially since the brand/model is not known. Since it is a laptop the touchpad program may not be recognizing EQ. I would say that many of those who play EQ on a laptop does so with an external mouse, both wired and wireless. What is brand/model of laptop?
Yea, probably doesnt recognize it, which is weird. Driver is up to date as well. Its a Dell XPS 15 (L502X)
