high all 1st i have always mostly played casters but want to try a melee boxing out. On one of my accounts i have a alt monk. on my second account i have both a ench and a sham.. I am just looking for what would make a better box team. sham/monk or ench/monk both using a tank/healer merc.
I'd think Shaman and Monk. This would provide buffs, debuffs (slow), good healing, good DPS, good melee ADPS, decent tanking (from the monk), pulling, and other utility. Shaman have melee ADPS, can heal better than cleric mercs, and have similar debuffs/buffs to chanters. Chanters have nice CC/utility/personal DPS, but a lot of their CC/utility is redundant with a monk puller, and their ADPS is mostly geared towards casters.
For a monk, Shaman 100%. ETA: a monk/shaman stands a pretty good chance at not needing a tank merc or a cleric merc BTW.
Shm is definitely the best choice. That being said I do monk/ench somewhat regularly with the monk tanking and it's not terrible.
