Missed the boat

2 week incubation period, spreads even before symptoms, no one knows how long the virus stays in peoples bodies, likely 1-2 weeks. Going to be months before this thing is gone. Lots of people are going to be spending more time home than normal. No new TLP server....LOLOL. Bad business decisions are funny to watch.

You missed Mangler? Mangler has been sub 65 for an entire year Lol. Would a free heroic character make you feel better? Go log in :)

Mangler is just hitting a fun spot for me. 2 Krono I had sitting around got me a bunch of leveling items like Fungi Tunic, 28/30 1h sword, full loadouts for 3-boxing. Reliving my childhood wheeeeee!

I'm okay with more people running around Mangler during the next couple months. Getting pretty tired of the classic period of TLPs, anyway. It's nothing but playing enchanter or cleric, or feeling stupid because you aren't playing enchanter or cleric.

You know it takes time to develop the servers, right? Not just an overnight thing?

People acting like DPG messed up by not seeing incubation stuff coming months ago and made a bad business decision lol.

There is a man that is still testing positive after starting his 6th week in quarantine: https://www.hometownstation.com/san...navirus-in-covid-19-quarantine-part-28-317645

Some patients seem to recover within a couple weeks, others take longer. And while many of us may think we gain immunity to it once we have had it, there are numerous cases of people getting it again, or testing positive again after testing negative... still so much we don't know yet about this horrible virus.

What seems to be our primary concern right now is protecting those who are most at risk through isolation, social distancing, good hygiene, etc.

I believe that opening a few new TLP servers soon would be a wonderful gift to the community, and very much look forward to joining you all on a new adventure.

Stay strong, and take care of you and yours!

If there is 1 thing Everquest players need help with it is definitely social distancing.

Truebox causes spread of covid-19 by forcing me to group with others.
Gyurika Godofwar, Kyleigh and Foaming like this.

That seems unlikely given the time frame we are working within. Source?

My source of information has been reddit (r/Coronavirus and r/COVID19). I have read most of the posts there since the last week of January. There were four posts that I recall specifically regarding this issue but I didn't bookmark them and I'm not going back through thousands upon thousands of posts to provide a source(s), ha-ha.

During the time I have spent researching this, I have read of many people who have recovered and have 'not' been re-infected. I have read of at least a couple cases where people have had both "strains" of the virus, which I am not confusing with "re-infection."

There is also the fact that some (most if not all?) of the tests being used are not 100% accurate, and two tests are required in most cases to 'reliably' determine who has recovered and/or who has been re-infected. Obviously getting organ scans from the hospital in addition to these tests would be much more reliable, but the majority of cases are obviously not getting scans.

Proof that we gain permanent immunity to the virus once we recover from it has not been proven. People like to argue that we gain immunity to viruses once we have had them, and that it's only the mutations that we aren't immune to. But we don't know that as a fact yet, for this virus. There are still things we are unsure about. There are seven coronavirus identified, and this is an overview of what Johns Hopkins says about them:
    • Most people have anti-coronavirus antibodies, reflecting universal exposure, but reinfection appears common, suggestive that there are many circulating serotypes of the virus in the human population
    https://www.hopkinsguides.com/hopkins/view/Johns_Hopkins_ABX_Guide/540143/all/Coronavirus
(to be clear, this quote is NOT COVID-19 specifically, but more about the previous ones).

Here is an article that IS about cononavirus and is more or less what I am concerned about:
    https://www.independent.co.uk/life-...id-19-twice-sick-spread-relapse-a9400691.html

A recent google search pulls up the following articles. There are many more if you are interested in reading further. I wish I had more answers but I don't. All I know at this point is that I don't feel safe in betting on any assumptions about this virus.
