Adventurers, I like the existing game UI, but maps are not to my liking. Is there a map ui/extension I can DL. I did look on eqinterface, but I don't find anything. Perhaps, is there a decent UI with Maps? Anyone recommend the UI of UI's? Thank you, Fuel
Start here http://www.mapfiend.net/ to get all of the older maps. Then go here http://eqresource.com/ to get maps for the last couple of expansions. (Mapfiend stopped producing current maps several months ago)
Did mapfiend ever produce the maps to begin with? I thought they were reliant on players making them and submitting the maps to them for hosting.
For custom UI downloads, try EQInterface. If you are going to be playing on the normal servers, look for one that is kept current. I have been using Savok's UI, as he keeps it updated even though he retired from EQ. It's clean, neat, and provides me with all the displayed info I would want. I saw earlier tonight that the Sparxx UI is also updated as of yesterday. If you plan on playing on Ragefire, you can probably get away with one the UIs that isn't as up to date, due to many of the UI features not being available until additional expansions are unlocked.
