Mage Pet Lost Level !

    Hope someone can help me
    Last night my mage air pet was a yellow con to me but today
    he is a white/even con.
    I have not changed any gear and I'm still wearing the same
    EM XVI earring. I tried restarting EQ and recasting the pet.
    Mage Level 102 , pet is 101 Air Pet , but it didn't help.
    Any advice would be appreciated

    Did you level? Did you summon the air pet at 101, and then this one at 102? Maybe a discrepancy in the focus table. Not sure exactly how the table works in the game, but maybe summoning at 102 gives a different index than at 101.

    This shouldn't happen (I know that doesn't help much...). Your pet's level is determined by the spell and the focus you have, and it is not variable.

    The only guess I have is you were a lower level when the pet conned yellow? Maybe after a death? But otherwise I have no clue.

    Thanks for the replies , I feel like a complete idiot , my wife reminded me
    that I dinged Saturday and I guess I just didn't pay attention to the pet con.
    For us old guys playing these games can be a challenge sometimes ,
    but I ain't quitin' ;)
