Long burns

During long fight of named or final mob in raid I try and save my disc/aa for that fight. Basically I no longer use bullseye disc unless I have to range fight. So here's my burn and any input or critique is welcome...

    Bosquestalkers disc
    GotF
    AotH
    Out. Attack
    Out. Accuracy
    Epic
3rd spire or 1st if zerker in group
    Imbued ferocity
    Group gotf (when gotf fades)
    Have poison arrows running
    Empowered blades
Hopefully there's a shammy 2.0 clicked as well
All during the fight I spam focused arrows, forecasted shots, focused blades aa and the 2 spells that consume arrows

    I forget anything.

Empowered Blades and Bosquestalker's Disc do not stack. Start with Empowered Blades, click Bosque when it drops.

When using IF, click the appropriate Scout's Mastery Fire/Ice to correspond with your weapons. Fire and Ice both mod magic resist procs as well. So you can mix fire/fire, magic/magic, fire/magic for Scout's Mastery Fire.

I do not think Poison Arrows fires from Forecasted or Focused, but I would be interested in finding out if it does.

If the fight is shorter than 90 seconds, then clicking Gotf and outrider's accuracy together is fine. If it is longer than 90 seconds, separate them. If it's shorter than 3 mins, I'd combine ggotf with oaccuracy. That being said, with the proper support group (shaman, bard, zerker(though third spire is almost as good)) Bullseye is still more dps than Bosque in fights that only last the duration of Bullseye.

Burn spells are Forecasted, Focused, Summer's for as long as you can sustain them. If you can't sustain summer's, our elemental 30 sec refresh dd's do more damage for less mana than the arrow spells. Basically, don't use the arrow spells. We don't have a focus for the damage from the arrow spells. We do have foci for fire and cold. On raids, almost all mobs are turned to plant type, so arrow spells are doing the lower damage option instead of the higher one even if they were originally humanoid/animal. So 5k damage unmodded.

Thanks for the input glad. I think with ferocity n cleave 12 and sharpshooting 9 that the dps from the 2 arrow spells is better than cold and fire nukes, maybe. Also I agree that shammy epic or zerker spire it's better to use bullseye. Your right the poison arrows doesnt trigger on those spells. Do you think it's better to use the 2 plus 10 damage Augs or +5 damage Augs with fire ice or magic process? By the way I had long burns in mind really more than 3 mins for sure.

OH I left out circle of power rk. 3 and I click my coa vest for 45 seconds of lightning process, also swarm pets and RoF t4 vest clicky. I usually have spiders bite or scorpions anger potion going. I wonder if I should use a fire proc potion instead?

I'll agree to disagree about heartcarve and enraging shot since I don't have any parses to back up my claims. I know fero and sharpshooting doesn't affect them. I'm not sure whether their crits come from cleave or spell crit aa's. I'm just using the spell data.

So Bitter Wind up first. 5564 damage with RoF t2 raid gloves (40-100% focus) ends up on average being a 9458dd for 816 mana. That's 11 damage per mana rounding down. Pre-crit.
Vileoak Ash - 6238 damage with same focus ends up being 10604 damage for 951 mana. 11 damage per mana again. I'm not including any boosts from plant skin or VA.
Ashcloud Boon - 5689 damage with same focus = 9671 damage for 1024 mana. Only 9 damage per mana, but it will add 2700 damage each to your next 2 Vileoak Ash.
    Heartcarve - 5628 damage for 1151 mana = 5 damage per mana.
Angering Shot - 4789 damage for 1184 mana. 4 damage per mana.

Also, take into account that the Resist Physical -45 is very small. Flusterbolt for example has Resist Physical -300. The arrow spells are resisted more often than our elementals once Malo is applied. I went for an efficiency ratio in these examples because these are our sustaining spells. Summer's blows them out of the water when it comes to pure damage. Summer's is also more efficient than the arrow spells btw. Only slightly less efficient than our 30 sec reuse DD's, but it is a lot more mana per cast.

    Use 10 damage augs.

Personally, I think all those little dinky 50-500dps clicks make you lose focus and lower your overall damage output. You may be better than me though lol.

I do use DD potions over poison procs. Resonant elemental.

If you're talking about 4-5 minute duration fights, keep gotf, ggotf, and outrider's accuracy all separate.

When I first got the Heartshot line, I tested it and it was treated as a spell for damage/crits. That might have changed at level 90+ but I believe it uses SCF not cleave.
  6. Gladare Augur

When I click the RoF bp, I make sure to have scout's mastery running.
  7. Kindaaniel Journeyman

Oops my bad, sorry all I didn't mean enraging and headshot, I meant focused and forecasted line. I think they are our best dps spells overall.
