logging causing game freezes

When I have logging turned on, the game constantly freezes for a second or two, especially when in combat, to a lesser extent just moving around in zones. I have tested this by turning logging off and the game no longer freezes. This was never an issue prior to the last patch. I have gina keeping the log file size below 50MB. This is on Mangler.

I'm running a 6 core processor with 64 GB RAM and 2 x GTX 970 in SLI

Set an exception in your antivirus to not scan your EQ logs folder.

I'll give that a try.

Or it's not related to the logs (but not scanning logs helps), and need to exclude eqgame.exe because its a 64bit process now, or the whole EQ folder if you are feeling spicy.

I did what you said and it is still freezing up.
