locked up at server select

    i am returning to EQ and when i get to server selection all options are greyed out. Any help would be appreciated.

    How did you install? Running thru Steam? Old copy of the game on an old computer? Have you restarted the computer since installing?

    i installed thru everquest.com hence it should be a new copy?
    its a relatively new computer and it added all the old direct x files, of seemed to.
    have not restarted, will try that.

    restart did nothing. did same download on another computer and it works fine, but still want it on this one since its a better gaming computer. read thru forums and one person back in 2019 had same problem and another suggested to uninstall and reinstall. any thoughts?

    Sounds to me like something on the computer side. Since it works on the other computer. Did you open your firewalls and/or allow EQ game thru the AV blocks? Sometimes they think EQ is evil.
