I am curious, is purchasing services from people in the game for actual money allowed? I know you are not allowed to purchase Krono or items. But if someone wants to purchase help completing a quest or hunting some mobs, is that allowed by the in game rules? I couldn't really find anything in the EULA. I suspect the answer is no, but I wanted to double check.

Depends. If thats a business, no. If its a real life buddy or someone you know. Just don't go advertising that you paid someone $100 to do something for you. Keep it between you and your buddy. Now think of this. Say I have twitch, say I have a donation goals. If you donate $10 I'll come and PL you for 1hr, you get what you get. That's when things become slippery.

Since MMOs started people have paid others in game and out of game. Kronos are exactly the same thing, but the house takes a cut. There is no way for anyone to know or care if you know some other player's paypal, or buy them a Steam game, etc. Life's like that. EQ will be officially against it because they have Kronos to sell, but giving your brother a game to finish something is utterly untraceable. If you know the right guilds, you can buy Krono for $10.00 US I remember back in 1999 / 2000 reading articles in the news about grey market sub-economies existing in MMOs It will always exist and there are no actual laws against it and "enforcement" if you could call it that, is non-existent.

Krono isn't real money, it's game currency. I haven't seen that power leveling in itself is restricted, only monopolizing zones and causing lag. If they ask for dollars instead of Krono, that may be reportable. I see nothing wrong with someone providing an in game service for in game currency.
I see people speed and break other laws every day. Not being caught, or the authorities letting you get away with it doesn't make something legal.
Sorry but this isnt correct. The ONLY way to buy a krono is with real money from DB and i dont talk via ingame trade for PP. You MUST buy a krono with real money to use it ingame (for membership, trade for items or trade for PP)
yeah pretty sure thats not true or it would be no drop. Im not saying Im not with you on it, just saying the statement is false.
Kronos are easily sellable on third party sites as a single krono sells for less then a one month sub.
Or you buy it for less real money then DB charges for them off third party sites. That encourages folks to get kronos in game to sell outside of the game.
