Yesterday I tried doing the progression quest "Destabilizing Chardok" given by Ralla in Chardok (the second of his two tasks). On the second to last step you are supposed to hail Ralla. The hint in the quest window is "Try to find out what is wrong with Ralla". When you hail him you get the response "bla bla bla. You should [Try to remove the amulet]". If you subsequently say the bracketed text, or just "amulet", you get some generic text but no further prompts and no update. Spoilers on the web claim that you should say the phrase "signs of a struggle" to get the update, but that does not work. There is nothing to indicate how you might arrive at that phrase in any case. If you try to skip the step and say "amulet" to the Praetor in Lceanium he directs you to do tasks in SW, which you have already done. If you just hail him with the quest active he does give text he otherwise doesn't give. But there is no indication of what you are supposed to do. Is this quest broken? Is there something else that is not obvious you need to say to get the update from Ralla?
Ok, figured this out thanks to a guild member supplying me with the logs for when he did the quest. RALLA IS BROKEN IN THIS QUEST The text prompts provided in game do not generate proper responses. However, if you have logging on the real proper response is present after the in game text after colons. Something in the form of [bla bla bla: real response]. In game the "bla bla bla" bit is the only thing shown and if you say that to Ralla it results in a different text ending or no response at all. In order to go to the real next text sequence you have to type in the "real response" part, WHICH IS NOT SHOWN IN GAME. So for the penultimate step in the quest in order to get the update you need to use the following set of phrases (likely only need the final one): 'don't worry, Ralla, I'll save you' 'are you trapped in your disguise?' 'Have you been mind controlled?' 'did someone do this to you?' Note: AT NO TIME ARE ANY OF THESE ACTUALLY SHOWN IN RALLA'S TEXT SEQUENCE. In order to see them you have to look at the log files. The prompts given in Ralla's response sequence are gibberish and will not update the step. A similar thing happens in the first Chardok quest btw. Unless you are aware of this and know to look in the log files instead of what is shown in game, you will not be able to complete the quest. The devs need to fix this. Ralla is broken.
