If you're still here, one thing you absolutely need to remember is that if someone is telling you that any class solos well, they're not mentioning the added caveat that in most cases, they're talking about rounded characters with high aa counts and good gear and augumentations, not a heroic monk in heroic gear with heroic augs. Heroic characters may start in a zone from the House of Thule expansion, but the heroic gear is worse than the max group armor from the prior expansion, Underfoot. Realistically, only a few classes are able to solo with the base heroic gear without upgrading anything, and those are going to be the kiting and pet classes, along with rangers.
