I actually don't understand the mindset of people sitting in 4 hour queues day after day.

From a business perspective, I wouldn't care much about the 1 month EQ TLP tourists who just want that first couple weeks thrill of a "fresh" start.. chances are the vast majority of them will stop playing after that new car smell wears off, so DPG isn't going to hitch their wagon to those types of players

EQ tourists are the least valuable in terms of the long term health of the game

That is exactly why they dont... The EQ tourists are not viable to the long term health of the game in terms of consistent subscriptions. EQ Tourists come, play for a few weeks so they can feel that "magical new car smell", then they quit and don't come back until a new TLP.

DPG isn't going to waste any time on those types of players
