So the FAQ says both this:

Q: How is this server different from other Progression Servers? Mangler is will be a more traditional Progression Server that will provide a more familiar EverQuest experience. The XP rate will be equivalent to that of Ragefire

    But then it says:

Q: What’s the XP rate on Mangler? Earning experience on the Mangler server will be faster than original EverQuest at launch, but slower than every other progression server.

So which is it? Are we getting good exp or is daybreak trying to pull a fast one on us or did it just not get fully updated?

Previously asked and answered in a few threads.

Former is from the new release after the changes.

Latter is the original. Didn't get removed or updated correctly.

    Also,

Q: How is this server different from other Progression Servers? Mangler is will be a more traditional Progression Server that will provide a more familiar EverQuest experience. The XP rate will be equivalent to that of Ragefire

Compare the bolded, so, not very different?

In other words, it'll be like Ragefire's fast XP rate, but with the other TLP's truebox code and other added features like AoC.

Not really. The FAQ probably could use some TLC to clarify these things.

The FAQ links the update and tells you to read the update before the original post.

The last few servers have had truebox and AOC, so having those is no longer a differentiator

Even though is says different from other Progression "Servers" I interpret this answer as a comparison against the Selo server. Selo is very non-traditional in a number of ways, whereas Mangler is not.

The mix is new, but Mangler will also be the first TLP without focus effects until Luclin. /mourn
