Could we maybe get Hide passive mercenaries as well? Maybe hide afk players' pets? The lobby is much nicer now, Thanks a ton for that option!
From Test Server update yesterday: *** UI *** - Options were added for Hide AFK Pets and Hide AFK Mercenaries. Type /hideafk to see the slash command usage. Will likely be pushed to live in the next update.
AREYOUKIDDINGME?! awesome! mind readers! I'm sending you mental images of my ex wife now. You are welcome. Yes, they are.
/hideafk USAGE: /hideafk < players | pets | mercenaries | all > none = show all specified afk target types noncombat = hide all specified afk target types in non-combat zones only all = hide all specified afk target types Alt-O has the same functionality available as check-boxes.
It looks like there may be something funky going on with familiars and these new AFK options. When I checked the "Hide Pets" box in the GL, a couple of familiars changed size. /bug sent.
Are mounts included with you hide afk players? Nothing worse then a necro in skelly form, knelling on their Helicopter / jet pack mount while their specters moan away right in the middle of the guild hall hub. When they're afk, its even worse.
This is great news and very much appreciated. But why is this only for AFK? Give us a /hide command that works on all pets, mercs, and familiars. With check boxes for see mine only, group only, etc.. Why do we have to wait for someone to be afk before we can hide them?
because the completely insane amount of CSR work that would result from a tsunami of gormless knobs who put "hide everyone that isn't me" on, went out to a group, then started to /petition that mobs are despawning out of nowhere because they can't see the person who pulled them... isn't worth the small handful of people that might somewhat intelligently use the feature to reduce the game's performance foot-print.
April 15th patch: - Renamed the /hideafk command to /hidemodels. - Added options to hide all players, pets, or mercenaries, even if they are not AFK. Group and raid marked targets will not be hidden. Hit Alt + O scroll down to the bottom of general tab and you will see check boxes.
Quoted solely for the purpose of remembering the phrase "gormless knobs". Not completely sure what it was supposed to mean, but it is very memorable. I do wonder if someone could be gormfull. Klingon perhaps?
