Krampus events!! We need Krampus. Escort events where you win by letting the bratty kid get bag napped. Where Nilipus get's grabbed. Where we HELP kidnap bad kids and Krampus rewards us. Unlimited opportunties.
There was a Guide Event done in several previous years which is on the theme of Krampus. Sometimes the Guide-as-Krampus will ask you to tell them a story about how you were mean at least once during the past year, or that you didn't like how someone did something to you and you did not forgive them, etc., and if the guide likes your story of evilness / meanness you get a small reward. Perhaps this particular Guide Event is still done from time to time, I don't know. Just in case, be on the lookout for such an event on a server near you!
A Festivus tree spawning device in the DB store would be cool. Would work anywhere out of combat and would last for just a few minutes. Or maybe a Festivus weapon decoration
Star Trek Online has the Kramp'lri, he's a mix of Krampus and the ancient enemy of the Klingons, the Fek'lhri. One of the mini events that rotate through hourly or so. He spawns evil little elves, throws lumps of coal, occasionally throws his coal sack over a player to blind/immobilize them, and also spawns large gift boxes. You have to open them to free gingerbread men from captivity. All part of Q's Winter Wonderland. I've not played winter events for most MMOs, but comparing all the ones I have done, STO does them better. I don't expect to see a revamp of the Frostfell stuff or the addition of newer and better, but maybe with EQ3, if we ever see it, will be able to do events well.
I like the Krampus idea. A Grinch-Krampus like quest series would be fun. It could also add to the variations / idea-base for each Frostfell for new Quests.
